MEET OUR HYGIENISTS
Richard S.
Richard received his Dental Hygienist Degree in 2008 and soon after became a part of the Stone Creek Dental family. He has been working in the dental field for eighteen years and especially loves the variety of people he is able to meet. He recalls, as a young teen, having an awful experience in the dental chair that left a lasting impression. This bad memory has motivated him to focus on alleviating patients' fears with an empathetic approach. Growing up in Alaska, Richard had had enough of winters that lasted nine months, so he hit the road for Boise. He's been a self-proclaimed Idahoan ever since. In 2013 Richard married his lovely wife and began a family. He now takes orders from his darling daughter. Richard is a handman by nature and spends his free time elbows deep in home renovations or rebuilding a jet ski or ATV engine or the like. He loves jet skiing, boating, welding, and woodworking.
Fun Fact: Richard was born on Kodiak Island and lived there for twelve years and then moved to North Pole, Alaska, where he lived for eighteen years. Idaho winters are warm for him!!
Sierra R.
Sierra is one of our outstanding Dental Hygienists here at Stone Creek Dental. She studied Health Science at Brigham Young University-Idaho and received her Dental Hygiene degree at the College of Southern Idaho where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist for ten years. One of the things she loves most about her career is meeting new people and hearing about their lives. She also loves educating and helping them maintain or improve their health. She is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, but now lives in Southwest Boise. With a general dentist for a dad, Sierra has been comfortable running around a dental office since she was a young girl. Her husband also works in the dental field as an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist. Together they have fun with three young and energetic boys! Sierra loves water activities such as boating, swimming, and floating the river. She also enjoys reading, horseback riding and playing with her boys. They all love adventuring together!
Fun Fact: Sierra has been scuba certified since she was fourteen years old!
Christi B.
Christi is one of our Registered Dental Hygienists here at Stone Creek Dental. Hailing from a farm in La Grande, Oregon, Christi offers our patients over 30 years of hygiene and patient care expertise. Christi says the variety of patients that come to her chair is what she enjoys most. Her soft spoken tone and endearing personality brings a nurturing flavor to your visit to the dentist. Christi has done it all; from personal fitness, to raising two children (whom she adores), to trekking across Canada on a BMW motorcycle with her husband. Riding her bike up to Bogus Basin solely to watch the sunset or out to Swan Falls are some of her most cherished moments. Master of hobbies, Christi finds time to fill her world with gardening, quilting and reading historical fiction. She aims to send every patient away informed, with greater knowledge for creating healthy dental habits at home.
Fun Fact: Christi participated in a body building competition.
Jill H.
Jill received her Dental Hygiene Degree from Carrington College in 2011 after working as a dental assistant for many years. She has been working in the dental field for thirty-four years and loves patient education and having the opportunity to help change patients' lives for the better. What she loves most about her career is helping people be happy by partnering with them to have a cleaner mouth and healthier body. She grew up in Clarkston, Washington, but has called the Treasure Valley home for thirty years. Jill calls Joseph, Oregon, her home away from home and loves to visit often. Her hobbies include lap swimming, gardening, walking, and traveling. She has twin boys who are thirty and one young granddaughter who she describes as a pistol!!
Fun Fact: Jill LOVES to organize!! It doesn't matter how big or small the job is. She will tackle it!
Randy T.
Randy studied at both University Nevada Reno and at Carrington College. He has a master's degree in Dental Hygiene and loves teaching patients and other dental professionals about how to provide the best dental care for themselves and others. He has writtten several articles and given many lectures on indepth dental hygiene topics to provide continuing education opportunities for others. He has been working in the dental field for nearly twenty years and loves it! He truly enjoys being a part of patient's health care and promoting ways to improve overall health. You'll feel that enthusiasm for his career when you come in to have your teeth cleaned by Randy! He grew up in Reno, Nevada, but calls Idaho home! He enjoys motocross, triathlons, fishing, and camping. He has three children with one left at home and loves being together as a family.
Fun Fact: Randy's first career was as a firefighter/paramedic! Thank you, Randy, for your service as a first responder!
MEET OUR OFFICE STAFF
Jennifer K.
Jennifer is our Office Manager here at Stone Creek Dental. She does her best to help keep the Doctors and staff organized and everything running smoothly. She studied at Boise State University for Dental Assisting and began her career in the dental field twenty years ago. Seeing how much our patients care about their oral health is what she loves most about her career. She is from Hazelton, Idaho, but has called Meridian home for some time. Her hobbies and favorite things to do include concerts, camping, attending her kid’s activities, and spending time with her family and friends making memories. She stays busy with three children, two dogs and 2 cats!
Fun Fact: Jennifer loves to do Karaoke, but says she is horrible at singing!
Shannon S.
Shannon is one of our wonderful front office staff members! She studied at both Brigham Young University for General Studies and the Milan Institute for Dental Assisting. Her background helps her to really understand your dental needs from the front office to the back. She has been working in the dental industry for about eight years and her favorite thing about her career is working with spreadsheets! It may sound crazy, but she loves finding solutions and says it’s like a puzzle for her that she loves to solve. She is originally from Portland, Oregon, but has lived in Nampa, Idaho, for many years and now calls it home. She has a close-knit family who loves spending time together watching movies or just hanging out.
Fun Fact: Shannon traveled Europe by herself when she was 19 years old!
Maureen S.
Maureen is another one of our wonderful front office staff members. She studied business at Boise State University and has been working in the dental field for seventeen years. One of her favorite things about her career is interacting with and helping patients be active in their treatment decision process and learning new things to benefit patients and the practice. Boise has always been her home. She and her husband, Matt, have four children and six grandchildren. She loves going on adventures and values quality time with her husband, their children, their spouses, and their grandchildren. Other favorite hobbies include cycling, hiking, reading, and cooking.
Fun Fact: Maureen was formerly a travel agent and as you can imagine loves to travel! Ask her about anywhere and she will have something fun to talk to you about!
Ashlyn C.
Ashlyn is one of our outstanding front office staff members here to greet you as you come in for your appointments. She is our resident tech savvy member of our staff! She studied Bioinformatics at Brigham Young University. Ashlyn grew up in the dental field so to speak and loves working with family! She is from Meridian but currently calls Star, Idaho, home. One of her favorite things to do is spend time planning and going on trips around the world! She loves to hear about patients’ favorite places to visit so she can continue adding to her own bucket list! She and her husband, Benjamin, are huge Boise State fans and love tailgating and going to the games!
Fun Fact: She is Dr. Butterfield’s favorite child!!
MEET OUR DENTAL ASSISTANTS
Ximena
Ximena attended the College of Western Idaho Dental Assisting Program and has been part of our dental family here at Stone Creek Dental for over three years. She loves helping people feel confident and happy about their smiles and dental health. Ximena also loves getting to know all ages and everyone’s personalities. You will love her kind and compassionate personality as she helps you feel comfortable at your next dentist appointment. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and family. Some of her favorite things to do are to try new restaurants and hobbies with her husband and to go on shopping sprees with her mom.
Fun Fact: Ximena has been playing the piano since she was 14 years old!
Esmeralda J.
Esmeralda graduated from the College of Western Idaho Dental Assisting Program in May of 2021 and has been part of our dental family here at Stone Creek Dental for over three years. She loves helping people perfect their smiles! Esmeralda enjoys being able to educate patients on how to maintain and have healthy teeth. She is rewarded when a patient leaves the office happy about their smile/teeth! She is an original Idahoan born and raised! Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and photography. She loves taking pictures of everything and anything for memories!
Fun Fact: Esmeralda is the oldest child in her family and the only girl! She also speaks Spanish, English, and some French.
LuLu R.
LuLu is another one of our wonderful dental assistants here at Stone Creek Dental. She studied at the Milan Institute for Dental Assisting and has been working in the dental field for fourteen years. She absolutely loves helping patients feel better about their smiles! She is from Nampa, Idaho and continues to call it home. Her favorite hobbies include being outdoors with her family, hiking, and working out. She has been married for fifteen years and has two daughters. They all love to travel together and enjoy camping and being active.
Fun Fact: Hawaii is one of her favorite places to visit. She has been there three times!
Sarah H.
Sarah is new to the dental field and has been studying dental assisting at the Accelerated Academy. She is a wonderful dental assistant learning quickly and preparing to attend Dental Hygiene school in the near future. You will love her friendly personality and enthusiasm for her new career! Between work and school she finds a little time to enjoy some of her hobbies which include anything outside! She loves backpacking and skiing. Sarah is from Idaho but has taken the past couple of years exploring a few other places to live. She loves to spend time with her family and being back in Idaho has allowed her to do that. She has three younger siblings and two wonderful parents!
Fun Fact: She most recently lived in New Zealand!
